Isaiah 49:3,5-6                               [God is My Strength]

 Through Israel the Lord will show forth his glory and splendor. Israel is to be a light for all nations whereby salvation will come to all people.

Responsorial Psalm  40     [Doing God's will]

Here Am I Lord; I come to do your will.

1 Corinthians 1:1-3                         [A Holy People]

Paul and Sosthenes greet the people at Corinth. They are to be a Holy people as are all who call upon the name of Jesus, acknowledging him as Lord.

John   1:29 - 34                    [Encountering Christ]               

John the Baptist recognized Jesua: The Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the Worl. This is God's chosen one upon whom the Spirit descended and came to rest.

MOTHER LANGE AWARDS BANQUET 

The Mother Lange Awards Banquet is scheduled for Friday, February 8, 2008 at Martin’s West.  It is suggested that each parish have a table of 10 persons.  The tickets are $45.00.  All reservations for St. Edward’s were to be received by January 13.  Monies will have to be paid by January 31, 2008.
