SING TO THE LORD ALL THE EARTH

  

Isaiah 8:23-9:3                               [Joy and Light]

 Isaiah tells of the land in the west where there is no gloom, for the people see a great light. They are to rejoice that the yoke that bound them is to be smashed.

Responsorial Psalm  27    [Wait with courage]

The Lord is my light and my Salvation.

1 Corinthians 1:10-13 , 17         [Need for Unity]

Paul warns the people of Corinth that there must be unity among the people of God. There is only one gospel message. Jesus cannot be divided, no matter who preaches about Him.

Acclamation:- Matthew  4:23  Alleluia, Alleluia "Jesus Proclaimed the Gospel of the Kingdom, and cured every disease among the people. Alleluia, Alleluia.

Matthew   4:12 - 23      [Reform your Lives]               

Jesus preached reform. At the Sea of Galilee he called Peter and Andrew, James and John, to become fishers of People. At once, they left their nets to follow him. Jesus taught and worked miracles.

MOTHER LANGE AWARDS BANQUET 

The Mother Lange Awards Banquet is scheduled for Friday, February 8, 2008 at Martin’s West.  It is suggested that each parish have a table of 10 persons.  The tickets are $45.00.  All reservations for St. Edward’s were to be received by January 13.  Monies will have to be paid by January 31, 2008.
