   CHRISTIAN  LOVE

Zephaniah 2:3; 3:12-13                               [Seek the Lord ]

The Lord is to be found among a people who are humble and lowly. Those who are humble seek after God. They shall find repose in Him.

Blesse are the poor in Spirit, the Kingdom of Heaven is theirs.

1 Corinthians 1:26 - 31 -13        [Boast in the Lord]

Contrary to worldly standards, God chooses those who are weak, loborn and despised. To these God has given his own Son, Jesus, for sanctification and redemption.

Acclamation:- Matthew  5:12a  Alleluia, Alleluia "Rejoice and be glad; your reward will be great in heaven".  Alleluia, Alleluia.

Matthew   5:1 - 12     [A new Teaching]

Jesus says that the poor in spirit, the sorrowing, those thirsting for holiness, the merciful, the peacemakers, and those who suffer for holiness' sake are "blessed" - their reward awaits them in Heaven.
