 God calls Abraham and promises to make him a leader of a great Nation whom all will respect.

Responsorial Psalm  33    [Trust in God]

Lord, let your Mercy be on us, as we place our trust in you .

 2 Timothy 1:8b-10         [Design of God]

God has saved us. He has called us to a holy life. He has brought life to us through the good news of the gospel.

Matthew   17:1 - 9     [Jesus Transfugured]               

Jesus is transfigured before Peter, James and John. God acknowledges his Son and bids the disciples to listen to him. Jesus asks them not to reveal this vision until after the Resurrection.
