Title: SECOND SUNDAY OF EASTER

WEB: VOL 30

 SECOND SUNDAY OF EASTER

DIVINE MERCY  SUNDAY
MARCH 30, 2008

JESUS CHRIST IS RISEN INDEED ALLELUIA

Acts  2:42-47           [True Christian Fellowship]

The faithful lived a common life, sharing all their goods. The Apostles worked many miracles. They prayed together and broke bread. Daily their numbers increased.

Responsorial Psalm  118    [The Lord's goodness ]

Give thanks to the Lord for he is good, his love is everlasting.

  1 Peter 1:3 - 9          [ Love in Practice]

God, our Father, has given us a new hope in Jesus, a birthright kept in heaven. Although there may be suffering, this is at the same time a cause for rejoicing. Faith in Jesu will bring Salvation.

ACCLAMATION:- Alleluia, Alleluia.  You Believe in me Thomas, because you have seen me, says the Lord; Blessed are they who have not seen me, but still believe. Alleluia, Alleluia

John  20:19-31      [Living Faith]

Jesus appears to the disciples, coming through locked doors. He shows them his hands and side. He greets them in Peace and gives them the power to forgive sin. A week later Jesus appears again directly to Thomas who now professes his belief.
