In Todays Gospel as always is challenging us. You may remember what he told us last Sunday. When you are invited to a banquet be careful which seat you choose to take. And when you are preparing a banquet just as we are preparing for our Homecoming, we have to consider the Poor, those who may not be able to return the favor we have give.
Today Jesus goes even further. For anyone who is not ready to carry his or her Cross and follow Jesus, will not be true Disciple of Jesus. To be a true Disciple of Jesus involves making very difficult choices. We may have to choose between our Personal or Family matters and Jesus's Demands. How many times do we take the easy way out? How many times we have put Jesus' demands second as we attend to our own desgns which sometime may not be as rewarding as Choosing Jesus? True Discipleship involves Fidelity to the Gospel and to christian Principles.
